About Me

I didn't originally plan to become a coach. It wasn't a life goal, but in so many ways, I think I'd already been doing it for the past twenty years.

I spent more than two decades as a psychology teacher and Head of Year, working around confidence, motivation, self-belief and mental health, and sometimes watching young people navigate situations that many adults would struggle with.

When I left teaching, I reflected properly on what I'd valued most. And coaching felt like a very natural next step, not because it was completely different, but because it aligned so closely with the parts of my work that had always meant the most to me.

Over two decades, I watched patterns repeat across hundreds of people. I saw the gap between how capable someone appears on the outside and how they feel on the inside and realised that I've always been drawn to helping narrow that gap.

So coaching doesn't feel like starting again. It feels like continuing the work I've cared about most all along.

What I do

Most coaching starts with goals. I start with understanding.

Using psychological frameworks, I work with you to identify the patterns and blocks that are keeping you stuck, then we put the right tools in place. Not generic tools. Tools that are specific to you, your psychology, and where you actually want to go.

Who I Work With

I tend to describe my clients more by qualities than categories.

They're thoughtful, self-aware, and capable, functioning well on the outside. But internally they feel stuck, unclear, disconnected, or psychologically cluttered.

They're not broken. They don't need fixing. But they know there's a gap between where they are and where they want to be, and they want to close it with depth, not hype. That gap could be personal. You may want to better manage the demands of life, or you feel disconnected. They could be professional goals such as finding where you fit in leadership, or making a big career changes. Or they may be a combinations of the two. You could also be exactly where you want to be but feel you need to be pushed further out of comfort.

If you function well in most areas of life but still feel there's more you haven't quite reached yet, that's where we start.
